 Blue Air counts on 800,000 passengers this year (versiune grafica)
 How would you best describe 2006? Was it a profitable year for Blue Air?

The year 2006 went ahead of our original forecast thanks to the improved service we worked on for the entire duration of 2006. Now we have our own passenger and luggage handling service that we used to outsource to a third party. The diversity of destination we now fly to, the very affordable fares have won the loyalty of our customers. The quality of the service and the myBlueAir frequent flyer scheme contributed to the results we reported last year when we had a EUR 47 M in turnover, more than 443,000 passengers and a load factor of 77 per cent.

What are your targets in 2007?

Every year since we started operations we have practically doubled all figures and we intend to do the same in 2007. Estimations suggest that we might reach EUR 80 M in turnover, 800,000 passengers and a load factor of 80 per cent.

What categories are the Blue Air passengers usually from?

Blue Air addresses all categories of air passengers. They may vary as percentage according to destination. There are flights where we have more business people, some other flights that are mostly demanded by students, we also have the weekend passengers, the ethnic traffic.

What are the services that Blue Air provides?

Blue Air provides all the services a passenger needs to travel abroad: fare booking, check-in, luggage handling, cargo, on-board duty-free items or myBlueAir loyalty programme.

How do you estimate the accession to the EU will influence your work?

The accession to the EU will most certainly open more opportunities for us to make the most of trying to develop our brand-name, our business, and that can only make us more stable on the market-place. To attract new customers we are seeking to know their needs better to be able to implement things that will meet their needs, and that is an on-going concern.

What do you offer more compared to the other similar companies in Romania?

I cannot say what we offer extra, but I can surely tell you that we provide a minus price-wise for the same high quality of the service as those provided by carriers charging higher prices. A plus is the quality of the people that adds quality to the operation, and Blue Air can proudly say that it has a stable and truthful team. Another plus is that we give the opportunity to people on s lower income to fly, something that used to be a dream for them and to businesspeople the possibility to save money they can invest in other things.
