Applicants seeking jobs at the five-star JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel have requested wages that range from 300 euros to 1,000 euros in net amount per month. "Very many of those coming for an interview or sending us CVs apply for a job in the hotel, hoping that they will get 300 to 1,000 euro wages, even though they have no idea what kind of job it is about," says Camelia Buburuz, human resources manager of JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. Buburuz believes that such wage demands are excessive, considering the average gross wage in the hotel industry is close to the average gross wage of the entire economy.
